Depression, Anxiety, and ADHD Treatment for Adults
Mental Health Care Services for Adults at Recovery Care
You don’t need a crisis to ask for help. Mental health care can make sense when sadness, worry, or trouble focusing lasts for weeks and starts to affect your sleep, work, or relationships. Common signs of depression include low mood, loss of interest, and low energy. Signs of anxiety include constant worry, restlessness, and a racing mind. Signs of adult ADHD include trouble staying organized, finishing tasks, or paying attention. Bipolar disorder can bring swings between very high and very low moods.
You’re not alone if you’re dealing with any of these. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) reports that about half of the 59.3 million U.S. adults with a mental illness received treatment in 2022. If you’re not sure what you’re feeling, a visit can help you sort it out.
U.S. adults lived with a mental illness in 2022. About half received treatment.

Your care plan is built around what you need. Mental health care at Recovery Care includes:
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling for support with stress, mood, anxiety, and big life changes
Group Counseling
Group counseling for adults who want to share and learn alongside others
Medication Management
Medication management for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD, when medication is the right fit for you
NIMH explains that medications are often used together with other treatments, such as psychotherapy. That’s why many plans combine counseling and medication. Dr. Rosen can adjust your plan as you make progress.
What to Expect From Your First Visit and Beyond
Your care starts with a conversation, not a checklist. You can meet in person or by telehealth, and our approach is the same either way: listen first, plan with you, and set goals you can work toward.
Your first visit.
You’ll talk with Dr. Rosen about what you’ve been feeling, how long it’s been going on, and how it affects your days. She’ll ask about your health history and current medications, so share anything that feels relevant.
Your plan.
Together, you’ll choose next steps, which may include counseling, medication, or both. You can ask questions at any point, and nothing has to be decided on the spot.
Your follow-up visits.
Regular check-ins let Dr. Rosen see how you’re doing and adjust your plan. If you start a medication, she’ll monitor how it’s working and how you’re feeling.
Your progress.
As you feel better, your plan can change with you.
How Insurance and Costs Work for Mental Health Care
Coverage for mental health care depends on your health plan, including how many visits it covers and what your copay is. Recovery Care accepts most major insurance plans, and you can see them on our page listing the insurance plans we accept. Tell us which plan you have when you request your visit, and we’ll help you check your benefits. If you have questions before you book, call us at (304) 790-7467.

Why Patients Trust Recovery Care for Mental Health
Mental health care works best with a provider you trust. Dr. Rosen is a board-certified physician. She is licensed in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia. Recovery Care is also a licensed behavioral health center in West Virginia. Dr. Rosen provides family medicine, too, so one visit can look at your whole health. You can see her by telehealth from home in any of those four states, or visit our offices in Jeannette and Keyser for in-person care.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Recovery Care treat anxiety and depression?
Yes, Recovery Care provides mental health care for anxiety and depression. We also help adults with bipolar disorder and ADHD. Dr. Rosen offers counseling and medication management, in person or by telehealth. Your plan depends on what you’re feeling and what you want from care. It can include counseling, medication, or both.
How long does it take for antidepressants to work?
Antidepressants usually take 4 to 8 weeks to work, according to NIMH. NIMH also notes that sleep, appetite, energy, and concentration often improve before mood lifts, and it advises people not to stop a prescribed medication on their own, even if they feel better. Everyone responds differently, so it can take time to find the right medication and dose. Dr. Rosen can help you adjust your plan safely.
What should I do if I’m in crisis?
If you’re struggling or having thoughts of suicide, call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at 988. In a life-threatening situation, call 911. Office and telehealth visits are for planned care, not emergencies. Once you’re safe, we’re here to help you start or continue care.
